Made in each English and Welsh variations, Jony Ive says his emblem for the coronation was “impressed by King Charles’ love of the planet.”

“It’s such an honour to have the ability to contribute to this outstanding nationwide event, and our crew is so very happy with this work,” Sir Jony Ive mentioned of his design for the logo. “The design was impressed by King Charles’ love of the planet, nature, and his deep concern for the pure world.”

“The symbol speaks to the completely satisfied optimism of spring and celebrates the start of this new Carolean period for the UK,” he continued. “The light modesty of those pure types mix to outline an emblem that acknowledges each the joyful and profound significance of this event.”

Designed in purple, white, and blue to match the flag of the UK, the logo represents the flora of the 4 nations of the UK. It options the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of Wales, and the shamrock of Northern Eire.

The general design is centered on a illustration of St Edward’s Crown, with which King Charles can be topped in the course of the Coronation Service. The service will happen at London’s Westminster Abbey on Saturday, Could 6, 2023.
