A chartered flight from Moscow to Goa with 244 individuals onboard was diverted to Gujarat’s Jamnagar, a transfer which was triggered after Goa Air site visitors controller obtained a bomb menace, officers mentioned on Monday.

“All of the 236 passengers and crew members (8) have been evacuated safely and the aircraft is being checked by native authorities together with the police and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad,” mentioned Inspector Basic of Police (Rajkot and Jamnagar Vary), Ashok Kumar Yadav.

The plane, say Jamnagar airport officers, is in an isolation bay.

“The Embassy was alerted by the Indian authorities in regards to the alleged bomb scare on the Azur Air flight en route from Moscow to Goa. The plane has made an emergency touchdown at Jamnagar Indian Air Power Base. Everybody on board is secure. In the meantime, a Goa Police officer mentioned the flight which took off from Moscow was speculated to land on the Dabolim airport. Goa Police has beefed up safety in and across the Dabolim airport as a precaution, he mentioned.
