Moscow:

Russia’s defence ministry stated on Tuesday that its fighter jets didn’t come into contact with a U.S. drone that crashed into the Black Sea earlier, claiming as an alternative that the drone crashed because of “sharp maneuvering”.

“The Russian fighters didn’t use their onboard weapons, didn’t come into contact with the UAV and returned safely to their residence airfield,” the defence ministry stated.
