very disappointing. i’ve a brand new MBP14 and having the identical downside i had wiht my prior MBP. the pc refuses to mount the time machine partion of BOTH of my exterior drives. I’ve 2 5TB seagate drives. every has 2 partitions. 1 for normal storage , 1 for time machine

each exhibit this downside. the issue is/was intermittent. i’d have strive plugging within the cable many many instances to see time machine partition. disk utility often simply reveals it greyed out.

I attempted restoration mode with disk utility choice and tried first assist on the amount. i feel the command that ran was fsck -apfs -y -x /dev/rdisk7s2
resulted in an error checking the article map
