Two intelligence officers from the Folks’s Republic of China (PRC) tried to bribe a U.S. intelligence agent with $61,000 in bitcoin, per a launch from the Justice Division.

“Immediately’s criticism underscores the unrelenting efforts of the PRC authorities to undermine the rule of legislation,” said United States Lawyer Breon Peace.

“As alleged, the case includes an effort by PRC intelligence officers to impede an ongoing legal prosecution by making bribes to acquire information from {U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace for the Jap District of New York} and sharing them with a worldwide telecommunications firm that could be a charged defendant in an ongoing prosecution,” Peace continued.
